2019 National Senior Games

Willow Valley Communities’ athletes recently returned from competition at the National Senior Games in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Residents enjoyed the competition, sight-seeing around the city, and meeting fellow athletes from across the country. We applauded them for bringing home 5 Gold medals, 8 Silver medals, 3 Bronze medals, and 23 Ribbons. (See the tally of medals and ribbons won at the games below.) Events included track and field, swimming, table tennis, badminton, bowling, and more.

Physical activity combined with a healthy lifestyle is said to be the “fountain of youth”. Exercise is good for your body whether you like to enter into competition with others or just enjoy finding fun ways to stay active. It’s never too late to begin a new physical activity and get in the game.
