Resource Lounge
The Resource Lounge at the Marlin and Doris Thomas Memory Center is a welcoming place for individuals, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members seeking information, support, and encouragement. Located within the Memory Center, the Resource Lounge features books, educational materials, activity resources, and other tools designed to help people better understand memory loss, brain health, caregiving, and neurological conditions.
Visitors to the Resource Lounge can explore resources on:
- Brain Disorders & Neurological Conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, brain injury, frontotemporal dementia, ALS, and Huntington’s disease.
- Brain Health, Prevention & Healthy Aging, including exercise, nutrition, sleep, cognitive fitness, and healthy lifestyle strategies.
- Caregiving, Self-Care & Emotional Wellness, with practical guidance on resilience, stress management, grief, and caregiver support.
- Memoirs, Personal Stories & Fiction that offer insight, understanding, and inspiration.
- Children’s Resources that help young people understand memory loss and changes affecting loved ones.
To extend the reach of the Resource Lounge beyond the walls of the Memory Center, we created the Digital Resource Lounge.
