When we were looking for our new home, we wrote a mission statement to focus on the things that were most important to us. Willow Valley was the only place that met or exceeded all our requirements. My husband’s long-term care insurance was costing us a fortune, but by moving here, we could give up that policy. That’s what Lifecare does. There is no additional cost to continuing care. We view living here as a major insurance policy for our children!

We lived in Vermont for 14 years, but knew we wouldn’t stay there permanently. We chose Willow Valley Communities because of the variety of amenities, in addition to skiing opportunities and the combination of rural beauty and small-city sophistication. Our favorite part of the process was our meeting at the Design Center. We were able to pick a floor plan that fit our current furniture, remodel the fireplace, and even match the wood flooring in our new apartment to that of our previous home in Vermont.

While Lifecare’s promise attracted us to Willow Valley Communities, the many amenities have kept us here. When my daughter walked into the lobby of the Lakes, she thought she’d walked into the Waldorf-Astoria! It just made so much sense to move from a larger home to a smaller space at Willow Valley Communities. We downsized our space, but not our life. Our home isn’t just the four walls we live in, but the fitness center, the pools, the Clubhouse, the entertainment, and every other amenity Willow Valley Communities has to offer.

I built the perfect 3,200 square-foot rancher in Tennessee – my perfect retirement destination. But, I realized there’s more to the retirement experience than just the physical place. The numerous events and opportunities drew us to Willow Valley. We’re active members of the Camera Club, and we love Lancaster City… First Friday, Fulton Theater, Third Friday music and art night, shopping, etc. Our lives are richer and fuller and more satisfying here.
