The Next Step...
We spent 20 years in a rural, mountainous part of Pennsylvania before our search began for a retirement community. We loved the country with its treasure of trees, flowers, birds and wildlife, but gradually grew tired of having to drive so far for the other amenities we enjoyed.
Since we lived west of Harrisburg, we began our search there. Sadly, none of the places we visited provided what we wanted — physical and mental stimulation and fun.
We overheard a friend’s son recommend Willow Valley Communities and we signed up for a tour. One look was all it took. We knew we had found our new home.
The location is convenient—we both participate in numerous activities on and off the Willow Valley campus. Elaine has joined two local orchestras with her violin, and continues to help train service dogs. Don continues his writing and teaching activities at nearby venues, and also at Willow Valley Communities.
