Did you know that 14 sets of siblings work as Team Members in our Culinary Department?
The bond between siblings is an extra-special life-long relationship that usually lasts from cradle to grave. It may be the longest relationship of a person’s life, typically longer than the relationship with a spouse or parent. There’s even a special day on the calendar celebrating this bond. National Sibling Day is held each year in April.
We’re thrilled to have so many siblings working with us at Willow Valley and we thought you’d like to meet a few of them!
Emily loves to cook. When she began working at Willow Valley, she convinced Chef Dave that her sister would be an awesome Team Member too! Ashley especially enjoys interacting with Residents.
Alyssa, Andrew, and Aaron have grandparents living in our communities who encouraged them to apply for jobs here.
Alyssa said, “It’s convenient that we all work at the same location so we can drive together and have similar schedules. My brothers just admire me so much they want to do everything that I do (smile – wink)…. Never.”
Christina says her favorite thing about working here is having 300 grandmas and grandpas that care and love to learn more about Team Members. Ashley and Christina came as a package deal, both wanting to work at Willow Valley. Victoria kept hearing great things about how friendly everyone is at Willow Valley so she came on board too.
Ashley has enjoyed singing in the Resident Chorus for several years. Victoria mentioned how much she appreciates our Willow Valley Holiday events where family is invited. “There are just plenty of opportunities for the whole family to become a part of the Valley Family”, said Victoria.
